K-Flex

Kramer's proprietary solution for watertight roofs and facades

At Kramer Industri A/S we have developed K-Flex – our own fastening and ventilation system for roof and facade solutions with Rhepanol membrane.

K-Flex is developed with a focus on tightness, durability, and a well-considered construction where fastening, ventilation, and membrane are integrated into a single solution. The system enables the execution of complete solutions for roofs and facades – with special attention to joints, transitions, and other critical details.

K-Flex is proprietary and patented. Rhepanol is the membrane technology. Together, they provide a robust building envelope that protects the structure against water ingress and supports a long service life.

Roof and facade solution with Rhepanol
  • Proprietary K-Flex fastening and ventilation system
  • Solutions for both roof and facade
  • Focus on watertight joints, transitions, and terminations
  • Design and execution adapted to the specific construction
  • One partner from assessment to finished solution
  • Possibility of up to 15 years warranty, depending on solution and warranty conditions

A complete solution – not just a roofing membrane

We do not just install a roofing membrane. We work with the entire construction and adapt fastening, ventilation, terminations, and transitions to the specific building.

Membrane

Rhepanol

Rhepanol is FDT’s roofing membrane system based on polyisobutylene (PIB). The membrane can be used for both new construction and renovation, can be hot-air welded, and is developed with a focus on high tightness and long service life. It is free from plasticizers and PVC, UV-resistant, bitumen-compatible, and documented through an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

System

K-Flex

K-Flex is Kramer’s own fastening and ventilation system around the membrane. It unites the sealing across roof, facade, terminations, and technical details, so the building envelope functions as one construction – practical to execute, inspect, and maintain.

Tight roof construction

Building envelope

Tightness that protects values

A roof or facade is a significant part of the building’s envelope. Therefore, the details are crucial. Water ingress can affect insulation, underlying structures, and daily operations.

With K-Flex, we work purposefully to create a cohesive and tight solution – also around areas where constructions meet and where execution requirements are highest.

For the customer, it is not only about a watertight roof here and now. It is about protecting the building and the values beneath the surface.

Service life and environment

Environment and service life integrated into the solution

A long-lasting solution can have an important environmental benefit: When a sealing functions for many years, the need for material replacement and major renovation interventions can be postponed. The long service life should not be confused with Kramer’s warranty.

  • EPD-documented membrane system
  • PIB-based Rhepanol technology with a long documented usage history
  • Possibility to extend the service life of existing building components in suitable renovation projects
  • Focus on limiting unnecessary material replacement
  • A solution where service life and operation are part of the assessment – not just the installation cost

Renovation with focus on what can be preserved

In renovation, we start by assessing the existing construction. If the roof’s or facade’s structure is still suitable, a solution that preserves usable parts of the construction may be relevant.

This can reduce the scope of the intervention and limit the need for new materials. At the same time, the work can be planned with focus on the building’s operation and access conditions.

Process

From assessment to finished K-Flex solution

  1. 1

    Assessment

We evaluate the roof or facade, existing structure, substrate, and critical details.

  2. 2

    Solution proposal

The K-Flex system is designed and adapted to the specific construction.

  3. 3

    Execution

The fastening, ventilation, and membrane solution is installed with focus on precision and tightness.

  4. 4

    Quality assurance

Joints, transitions, and critical details are checked as part of the handover.

  5. 5

    Handover

The customer receives the agreed documentation and any warranty for the specific solution.

Warranty

Up to 15 years warranty

K-Flex can be delivered with up to 15 years warranty. The warranty provides extra security regarding the chosen solution and execution. The specific scope depends on the project, construction, material selection, and applicable warranty conditions.
